Chicago Hair Salons are starting to help soak up some this this oil spill by donated hair clipping and stocking.
Clipped hair is sent to a non-profit agency who is helping out with the Gulf oil spill clean up.
They put the hair into stockings and those stocking will then be placed in the areas that are threatened. These stockings filled with hair will act as oil booms.
